300tdi engine stopped dead & will not start.

Pulling away onto an island and the Disco engine just stopped dead.
Coasted to a safe place and tried to fire her up. She cranks but there is no sign of it firing up.
Any ideas gratefully received.
I'll have a go and then call the AA if I have no luck.

Out of fuel?
Wire off the stop solenoid?

I had a similar prob in my previous disco1. Check where the wires come through the bulkhead as the grommet that protects them had slipped on mine and the fuel stop solenoid supply was being earthed there.

Broken wire at the spade on the injector pump solenoid.
Stuff on that side of the engine has been moved recently and this wire was now under tension.
