3000 rpm limit?

Our lasses 300tdi auto is having some problems, it only revs to 3000rpm which is where it seems to want to change gear.

I have tried it sat on the drive in neutral but it's like there is a limiter in place.

I have fitted a new turbo top hose (it's been de EGR ed), cleaned out the sedimeter and have some new bottom hoses on the way. I've also taken some of the slack out of the accelerator cable.

Anyone had similar problems and if so how did they solve them or has anyone any ideas what it could be?

If you adjusted the throttle cable you may well have upset the kickdown cable setting , put the throttle cable back to original setting and try it up the road . I did this on mine , drove nuts until the penny dropped .

It was already doing it before I adjusted the cable, I thought the slack may have been the problem

auto box oil level ? auto box filter ? is it fly by wire or cable

Seems to have a cable.

Will have to change oil & filter.
