Suspention lift

40mm or 2" lift kits are available, they just add a spacer between the top of the shock turret and the body. Get your tracking and camber checked afterwards, and you will need to trim a section from your inner wings up front for the lower arms. Plenty of threads on here - just do a search for more info and pics.

Lol well comming from a real serious 4x4 to a freelnader is a change but I am very happy with it

I don't understand what you mean here.

If you think a Freelander is not a serious 4X4 you are making a very big mistake, and are underestimating the vehicles potential.

I have never felt the need to fit a lift kit as my on-road capability would probably be compromised too much for me.

However my Freelander can do things many 4X4s can't do.

I've driven most makes of 4X4 off-road in ex-war zones and the ground clearance is the only thing that would stop me following any 4X4 through deep ruts or mud.

That said I always get to where I need to by not following blindly but by taking a different approach and not putting wheels in someone else's tracks.

The only 4X4 that beats me completely is a Unimog.

i keep gettting stuck on the dewin answer it is so difficult to concentrater BUT if you lift a freelander remember that the diff and other stuff remain the same hight as before I can not see the point really if it will not go over something because of the diff then it still won't
