Im thinking the coupler might be the cause as the windscreen has developed a leak and one morning i found around the steering wheel and the cowl behind wet, im thinking the water got behind and has got onto the coupler as the horn now doesnt seem to work.

Are all couplers the same, i.e age/petrol/diesel?. And apart from the obvious any help with the battery drain would help.

that would depend if yours has got the volume controls etc on the steering wheel , if the doner part came of a p38 without the functions it may not be wired for them
