couple of questions about my 90s upgrades

ive fitted some +5" pro comp shocks to my 90, and being a bit of a ding bat ive lost one of the rubber boots would it be ok to leave the shock with no boot or is this risking damage?

also a tyre question. im hoping to order some new tyres next month, ive been looking at the insa special tracks in 285/75 flavour, or the maxxis mudzillas in 35/13.50 speaking from experience can anyone tell me which is the better tyre? ive seen good reviews for both

Should be fine withought thwe boot, just make sure to cean it thoroughly after any off roading as if it gets grit in thats when it all goes wrong..
