the bikers wave!

I ride a Triumph Rocket over here, almost all the bikers 'wave' - the irony is, when you meet them in the bar many of them are 'youngsters' who are to shy to talk.

For Freelander owners maybe wave your AA breakdown certificate at each other :)

When I broke down the other day I had three 4x4's stop and ask me if I needed help - eventually a Disco towed me to a safer part of the road.

Sadly, even before I mentioned what I thought the problem was he said (in French) "what's up mate, fuel pump packed in" - Bloomin smart arse... :)

Got my first wave today, off a fellow freelander owner, wasn't expecting it as ive seen him a few times,so was that you on grandstand road, dark blue freelander.

Chris

i have always waved to other landrover drivers whether it a disco defender series or another freelander and often do get a wave back but never of another freelander do not know why

What a thread, the only reason I can see for one garlander owner to wave at another is to make him aware of the smoke coming out from under his bonnet

Ha ha I used to be a biker and people always nodded on other bikes, all except BMW bikers!!!

When driving my track toy I get loads of nods by other modified cars.

Never had a wave from another landy owner, apart from my next door neighbour. And he don't count, other landy owner just stare. Probably can't believe they are seeing a Freelander not broken ha ha

Everytime I pass a gaylander I look to see if they are brave enough to wave at a disco but you can see them deep in thought ( come on just one more mile please one more mile) lol
:D :pop2:

wunt wave at a Disco.....it could cause a draft that would make the boot snap off :p

See I really want to say something about my experience with Freelander reliability!! But I don't want to jinx it lol

I trust my disco to take me anywhere across/through/over what ever is in its way i trust it to tow a gaylander where ever you need to go

search wave etiquette gaylanders are not particularly worth a wave maybe a giggle
