Newbee looking for advice, please

Hi there, looking at a 1999 P38 tomorrow, looks great. However heard so many stories about cylinder head gasket issues, advice please. I have heard about using a tester in the expansion tank ( think I can borrow 1 from a local garage). Any advise on areas to check would be great fully accepted.

It's a long shot I know BUT!!! have you comsidered visiting the Rangerover section of this forum, and having a look at the threads or even (God forbid) doing a search???
