Hello Chaps,

Sorry I havent been on for so long, on placement at RNOH and have done nothing but work and sleep for the last 4 weeks (seeing some amazing stuff though)

The range has been doing me well (bloody should do after a 1200 bill the other week) but the since sunday has been telling me FUSE 9 is blown on and off. I have checked the fuse (under drivers seat) and its fine, though have changed it each time just incase.

What could the issue be, there has been no problems with anything on it (been great in the rain storms we've been having) it was being a tad extra sluggish sunday but turned it off and on and it was fine

any help would be great, hope your all well,

Tommy

Fuse 9 is for front door outstations. One is not getting power from time to time so the system thinks the fuse has blown. Broken wire maybe.

thank you. any quick checks i can do to solve it? havent got the time to do anything big at the moment

thanks again

Just check there power getting to the fuse holder and if you have time check power at the outstation or whatever it supplys
If it is the outstation it supplys, do they work? If they do and still showing fuse blown Could be a becm fault
Most probably just a corroded contact in the fuse holder or one of the many plugs

thanks, only just got a chance to get online again.

problem has self healed, (for now?!) but will keep what you said in mind.

right, its back again, and this time its bought a friend. Went to pop to a meeting tonight and the rear o/s indicator stayed on when i unlocked it.

i let the car run for a bit and charge up hoping that would be it, but no luck, it went off in various combinations with the wipers and lights, but when i lock the car, it flashes with the rest and stays on.

the only thing that turns it off is opening the drivers door. so I am guessing its linked to the fuse 9 failure thus outstation.

Is there anyone that can be recommended near Norwich as I've got 2 big research projects to do and really cannot spend the time pulling it apart!

Tommy

p.s hope your all well, sorry I have been out of contact, turned into the summer from hell and seems to have not stopped!!

found the plug that seems to control all the issues. Going to get it fixed somehow.

Sadly though I think Rodney has to go, I need something I can depend on for on calls and late night shifts this year. I'll hopefully qualify in July and had always planned to update to an '07 4.2 or diesel depending on my commute. Its just a shame the range couldn't last another few months!

Will keep you updated on the repairs, thanks for your help

Tommy
