300 tdi disco

hi all got a disco 300 tdi and im having a prob with it since i ran out of deisel after i filled up and got it going it ran for a week but was a bit slugish so i changed fule filter and fule lift pump blew all fule system through and then bled it got it running it will tick over at 5-900 rpm as soon as i go to drive off or rev it it drops power and some time cuts out has any 1 got any idears as to what it could b thanks

It must have drawn in all the ****e when you ran out, so you changed the filter and fuel pump because it was slugish, and now it wont go properly.

It sounds like it has fuel starvation, make sure the lift pump is lifting the fuel and that the pump is not one of them that has the inlet and outlet the wrong way around. Also spin the engine just to make sure it is actually operating the lift pump with the pipe off.

I would start there mate.
