Hello everyone!

I have a V redg td5 Discovery without ACE.

I was wondering whether any of you would know the best way to retro fit air conditioning? and how much it would cost?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thank you :)

Thankyou for the info, I have been pleasantly surprised at how helpful and quick to respond people on here are.

I definately want to keep the car, we simply know it too well and dont want to end up with a friday car as this one has been completely trouble free and trustworthy. I have just thought, would a scrap yard be a viable option? Perhaps if i find a scrapped disco 2 I could simply take the parts? anything I should be wary of?

Thankyou very much for your help. :)

not tried for a disco, but did look at it for my current motor, if your set on it, make sure you know EVERY part you need for the A/C and those you may not be able to salvage, such as drive belts.
main bits are the compressor, radiator, then there are the controls for the cab, these may be extras, or exchange parts you may need different air duct parts or even heat exchanger control valves the list is almost endless, I decided not to bother, Im considering a 110 S/W now.
