Ecu remap

Hi thinking of having my td6 ecu remapped do you think this is a good idea or not? its a 2003 model with 76000 mls, would it cause any other part to break down or cause any other problems later on. thanks for replies.

Gearbox is running above it's torque limit as standard and is fragile, a re-map is only going to make matters worse.

76000 its probably going to need one soon anway,as above no-no leave it alone

I use the superchips bluefin and found it made it much better and improved fuel economy too as the map had less 'flat spots'. Easy to do to. Plug the machine in, it downloads the current map, connect it to a computer and it uploads the map and then downloads a modified one then you plug it back into the rr and it uploads that new map. Clears all the alarms it triggers too so after its as good as it was before and apart from the better performance, there are no signs its been chipped (although you still have to inform your insurance company).
