Hi guys, got a bit of a problem with the brakes on my disco.
Its a 96 N 300tdi D1, which as far as I can tell has no ABS - no light on dash, and no sign of ABS pump under bonnet.

When I brake at high speeds, 40+, I get a whole cab vibration, except through the steering wheel, as tho Im driving on rumble strips.
As I get slower (towards a roundabout say) if I keep my foot steady on the brake pedal, its as though Im putting the brakes on and off slightly.
At low speed braking its still there, but only slight, not whole cab vibration.

I believe I may need to replace the front bushes at some point, as I appear to have a camber issue too, as one tyre has started to wear on the inside in the last few months.

Hope someone can advise, as its getting worse, and starting to worry the missus.

You may find it if you get a straight edge across them.
But sounds to me like they are warped

Lovely, just what you need to hear when its that skint time of the month!
Looks like Ill be speaking to mother dearest, emphasising the fact that it used to be my dads landy, and Im driving her unborn grandchild around in it, see if she can loan me the cash for it.

Cheers guys
