Going to Cornwall next week in the disco, thought I'd give her the once over. Got the oils out, grease gun etc Got underneath, diff plugs out-oil ok, gearbox-ok, transfer box-ok, greased the props. Engine oil-ok, water-ok, pas fluid-ok, brake & clutch fluid-ok, getting bored now.

Slung a new air filter in and that was it, nothing to do and that's four months after a service so I'm well chuffed with the old girl.

Went for a picnic in Hatfield forest, it's a 20 minute drive through empty country lanes, pootling along at 25-30 with the windows open, it was a lovely drive, even the engine sounded good:) gotta love a disco ;)

Rear diff oil seal... what a game... I'm halfway through inj pump front seal, need new belt (monday)... I'll do that rear diff seal... Ah that spiggot thingy... must get a puller... £30 Machine mart.

When I took the prop off the darn' thing weren't there... got refund (minus 10%) for puller... then it took ages to get the nut undone... had misses on foot brake and a jack under the breaker bar in the end. Only took about 20 mins after that.

put the flippin 2" lift springs on the wrong axles!!!!!

guess what i'm doin tomorrow?

Spent the day checking over the new daily ride. Fitted some new reg plates and replaced tatty Range Rover decal on bonnet....
Then gave the sorry looking bobtail a coat of looking at. Garage confirmed porous heads is the latest issue! dou!...got some replacement heads to put on it, once I muster the enthusiasm and have time :(

better than it was before.. the springs are newer and stiffer.. rolled less.. :)

visibility was a bit restriced to the front... and all i could see was tarmac in the rear view mirror.. had to drive it to get to work 20 mile each was... was expecting to get pulled..;)

and definitly no drivin in the dark... if i put headlights on i was signallin passin aircraft...

Fitted wheels bearings on the front and a swivel ball, didn't have the oil seal and no one could get me one near buy and had already taken the old one out. So nearest place was 70 quid for four. So Learnt the true meaning of buy cheap buy twice. Took me 7 hours bloody hours. With the help of my dad. More broke than ever now :(

got home from work to find my fuel tank which i just filled yesterday has decided to rust through, i salvaged most, 2x 20litre jerry cans and 2/3's of a 5litre can, what a bitch!!! never mind, could have lost it all!!!

Done my head gaskets on my range rover and rebuilt the top end. Even better it started first turn of key well happy.

Put the radiators and intercooler on the 90.

Started to swap the steering box for a Disco one but find that the arm is different ( more bloody problems )

Fitted exhaust down pipe and found that my welding fouled the fixing nuts and so couldn't get a socket on doooh

Starter just clicking even with battery booster thingy on it. maybe starter fooked, test it tomorrow.

BUT.... radiator mounting bracket modifications were spot on and the rad sits further back now by about two inches which means that the oil cooler pipes fit and it also fits lower so everythin else fits:D

Hopefully the 300 will be running by weekend and the I can start in the front calipers.

spent 2 hours making a couple of tread plates for me old doris,s 110 ! as i stood back admiring the finished job she informed me that SHE didnt need them... i replyed Its not your fcuking shins that get skinned is it...now **** off back in the house........then the fight started..:D
