Just joined this morning. I've had Land Rovers for the past 4 years now and am really enjoying the experience.

I bought a Defender TD5 90 just before Christmas when my front wheel drive car had to admit defeat to the snow. The wife was getting the kids to school ok in the Discovery but I was stuck at home and not earning!!!

The Defender is a 'farmer' type with white steels and a white roof. I'm thinking of 'modernising' it with some alloys, sprayed roof, etc etc. Anyone suggest what the best buys are for doing this. I want it to look the best for the least money (don't we all:D) The alloys are a no brainer but I was wondering what you would recommend?

I don't do any serious off roading, so its all for image really (sorry if thats the equivalent of swearing on here:confused:).

All suggestions welcome.

Really?! I thought it looked a bit farmery with the white roof. I've been looking around and I think the first thing is going to be the wheels. I like the look of the the gloss black Zu's and/or Mach5's, any recommendations for one over the other. Also what tyres - for mainly road, but occasional off road use. I've also read about offset in relation to wheels - what does this mean?
