Hi guys iv just recently got myself a 52 plate discovery gs 2.5, to be honest it was for the boot space! With a 5 year old boy, a chocolate labrador and now a new born baby girl my Audi A3 wasnt big enough!
After having it for 2 weeks someone reversed into the front of it, so at the mo im having the face lift front end fitted.
Now my question to you guys .......... After the poke of the A3 tdi im finding the disco a bit slugish i know its not built for speed but has anyone fitted any of the performance chips available on the market? Im from maidstone kent if anyone could recommend a company around here?
Thanks Mark

I got a td5 and it's chipped de- cat and egr removed. And It took my mates 3.9 v8 out. It shocked the he'll out of me so I was chuffed. I couldn't tell you what the disco 2 v8 is like Iv never driven one.

A remap is better than a plug in chip. Try mike at dynachip, he comes to you and will remap it the way you want it. There are quite a few happy customers about on various disco forums. Mine was already done when i got it, its a massive diffrence to a standard Disco

I'll second that:D
The best £200+ I've ever spent on a motor.
Can yours do 30 mph in 5th gear, without "jumping", & still pull away?
Mine can now, thanks to Mike @ Dynachip.
After Mike's standard re-map the power will come in @1500 rpm thru to 5000+ rpm, not the standard crap L/R power band of between 2000 - 3000 rpm.
Go for a re-map, mate.
Well worth the money!

Andy

I've got Mike booked. He's a busy boy so give him a ring and he'll fit you in when he's local. He was in London when I last spoke to him and I think he's Liverpool based.

I can't wait to feel the difference - especially if I can get to 5,000 rpm!!

Sorry should rephrase that re-mapped then. Regards to the cat removal it'l pass MOT no probs because diesels only get smoke tested.
Every time mine goes for its MOT it still gets tested but it still gets a pass and I dumped my cat years ago...Tony
