As the title says. I have a 2000 XeDi and travelled to North Wales from West Sussex and managed 31 mpg at 70mph most of the way.

How about you?

Ive also been to North Wales but not in my freelander.

Seriously though ........,my 2001 TD4, averages between 220 to 240 miles on 30 litres of diesal. (thats all I put in once a week) Thats generally driving a bit of motorway and some city bumper to bumper driving. I do drive like an old man who treats diesal likes its gold dust.

Just mentioned North Wales since it's the first reasonable journey. It sat happily at 70mph, even though I didn't think it would. I did expect a little better, but hey. Sounds similar to everyone else's economy. I'm going to try 50-60mph on the way home and see what that does to the mpg as well as annoying me (going slow) and other road users!

Hi my TD4 has just done 420 miles on 53lts ....... 60% cruise 40% heavy traffic
35.8mpg.....not too shabby new air filter clean oil and a new CTS. Has done 107k

I drive my 110csw 300Tdi to Warrington in rushour and round town, I get 32mpg.
My last run to Aberdeen @ 55-65 (any faster and the rumble from my mud tyres was too unbearable!) I got 33.5mpg

I've onwed my 1999 1.8 for 4 weeks now so still new to me, driven 750 miles so far and after some maths homework I am getting 24mpg round town and 28mpg on A roads/motorway.

Most I've ever had was over the last 2 weeks and I managed 34mpg with mostly (but not all) economical driving and doing about 60mph on the motorway. I reckon if I drove really economically all of the time I could get a bit more, but I would probably also be late for more things!

I have a 2002 TD4 5-door by the way!

I might have spoken too soon on mine. Last week it got 27.8 around town but this week it's returned 20.1. Puzzled!
