Drove half an hour yesterday to get a sump gasket and timing chest gasket for the 300tdi.
The dude at Landranger was curt to say the least, saying that we dont have those just use sealant.
Most annoying, especially when he was talking to another customer behind me while I was trying to ask for some brake caliper seals.
If I'd wanted to use ****in sealant I wouldn't have driven half an hour to Middlewich to get a sump gasket from a Land Rover specialist would I... ....I remember when people used to be nice.
I know sealant is ok but I would rather put it back how it was meant to be.

is it me.

What about paddocks or similar?

I know what you mean, riles me when people cannot be bothered. I had it with the merc recently. Motor factors had the part - I checked a few days prior. Went to buy it, and he said they didn't stock it and walked off!

Just as well, as merc turned out to be vastly cheaper than the price i was quoted anyway!

I'll have to use sealant as I want to put the sump back on tomorrow if poss.

Some people are so rude, they almost seam like they are doing you a favour by serving you and they then patronise you because you called the part by the wrong name. sad people:rolleyes:
