I have sold my 88, feel surprisingly sad, I never really gave a **** about my other motors, I might have to divorce my wife, or, make her divorce me, as I am now on the lookout for a 109 station wagon. Feel a bit gay looking on a Landy forum without a Landy.

Why did you sell it?
I have been trying to figure that one out. I told my wife a lot of lies about Landys in the first place to trick her into letting me get it, and over time the more time I spent working on it, the more she pecked at me, it's too loud, it's too cold, the kids are jumping around etc. and then I got back from India and the clutch cylinder went and I got ill working under it in the snow, I just put it up for sale, kind of in a strop, and it got a lot of attention so I just followed it through, bit of an acid trip really, I feel a bit dissociative, I might snap out of it and find out I've been staring into a candle for six hours.

That was your 109th post..........it's an omen......now get looking for that 109 station wagon.

Fancy a wife swap.
I have it t'other way around.
I have a 109 in bits on the drive and she's bitchin me to get it finished so she can go play.

Don't worry - yer 88 has gone to a good home - any news on delivery yet?

If it makes you feel any better I've just spent a fortune on restoration parts to give it a new lease of life..... ;) Hell, i even had a clear out in the workshop when i got home to make space for it..... :D

I've accepted the bid and given the details, he's hopefully going to confirm a day tomorrow, I hope it's soon, she's sat out in the front garden giving me dirty looks.

£50 ?? christ - that's a new x member or a new set of seats !

I'll give her a tenner and tell her she's forgotten the milk and bread..... :D
rear x member will be bout £80 where i gerrum from and the £50 guarran fekkin tees shes out fer a couple of hours atleast

gives yer a chance to ave a play dunnit :):):):rolleyes:

Will a 109 be any easier on the wife? :) I had the same problem convincing mine that it was a great idea, until reality hit... spending time under, over, and in the motor fixing/improving things, then the eve of my wedding came, and it broke down 30 miles from home in Bath (a notoriously bad parking area) leaving me a £150 bill for towing me home... and without transport a month! on top of that there is the poor fuel economy, the cold noisy environment, and the fact I probably should have a van, for all my stuff! the only reprieve was being able to take the wife to work in the snow, as her car was wedged in a hedge, stuck in the snow! once bitten with the Landy bug, I don't think I can go back to normal vehicles now!

There is an FC on the auction site...its in boxes, but all there with new chassis.

It will put a smile on your face, give you something to do after the wife has packed her bags and moved out..which covers all bases!:)

I was just looking at a 60's? Simca personnel carrier 4.2 petrol, might teach her to appreciate Landies a bit more.
