Had to go and collect some parcels today as the Posty couldnt get to us to deliver them.

Pulled up outside the local post office in the Defender. One of the women was outside and said to me "we really need one of those". Was saying that they are seriously struggling without Landies. They used to have them but apparantley dont any more.

Not very good is it, the posty always used to get to us in the middle of nowhere in the winter with a Defender. Guessing its a cost thing. Making life difficult for themselves though arent they.
 
Its easier/cheaper/safer for them to get YOU to your post in these conditions. why would they risk a prang trying to deliver goods when they could be sitting on their arse watching loose vimmin :D
 
it's fairly deep in places here, other than tractors and 4x4s the only other vehicle ave seen locally is the posty girls ickle red Connect whizzing around door to door - they must breed em different here

They only have one 4x4 in turriff and its a slitty.
