series 2 one ton

could someone tell me what the difference between an ordinary series 2 and a one ton is? im a little confused on the matter as iv been told mine is a one ton

post a picture up it will help the series guys to give their opinion

YOu could contact the one ton people.... "1-Ton 109" Land-Rovers 1968-1977" or at least look at their website. There are identifying marks and chassis number details on there.

Looking at the photos on the other thread, I'd say yours is not a one tonne. The military 109s and the one tonne have similar chassis with 2" higher suspension than standard. However the military chassis has a rear X member without tapering ends. The one tonne 2As had ENV axles (not sure if all of them did though), wheareas yours are rover type. The transfer box on a one tonne has much lower gearing to cope with the higher payload and the standard fitment 9.00x16 tyres.
