Has anyone sucessfully mounted a camcorder in their landy  rather than holding it in their hand.?

I've also been looking at the sports type camcorders that stick to the screen but I don't know if they'll be any good once they are getting bounced around laning etc.

I already have a decent camcorder I just can't work out how to mount it.

Mark :)

Mine cost me less than a fiver and it works a treat.

I have one of these. It is amazing, never once come off from some quite extreme off-roading.
It also costs around £100 i think. Work happened to have a one-off need for one... :p

I used an example pic off the net - i do have a nice photo of it in my series, but that is on facebook. I am at work. The two don't mix. (IT police and all that crap)

although - i challenge you to put that question to a rally driver :p

Some cameras allow external bullet lens's to be attached if this is the case you can get some great bullet camera's and holders for around £45

I have a Hero action camera which comes witha wrist strap. I simple attach tis to my A bar. But I would stick with the camera. My mates who mountain bike get a 'bullet' camera which they lpug into the videocamera. Theycan then attach the bullet cam to their helmets or in your case dash, bumper, wing mirror etc. Gaffer tape is great stuff.

Update..... I got the cheap camera mount off ebay... New Max Suction Car Window Camera Mount Tripod Holder on eBay (end time 09-Jul-10 13:55:10 BST) and with the HD Kodak Zx1 off Amazon [ame=http://www.amazon.co.uk/Kodak-Zx1-Definition-Pocket-Camera/dp/B001SN72TK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1277997356&sr=1-1]Kodak Zx1 - High Definition Pocket Video Camera - Black: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics & Photo[/ame] now £49, I got mine for £39 I reckon I have a very affordable set up. The camera mount is very good value. It has a lever suction cap that really wont come off the screen providing you wet it. I have bounced it good style and it wont come off. It will take a 'normal' small digital camera if you like.
The Kodak camera is 'weather resistant' and could be mounted on the other side of the screen if you want more engine and splashing noises.... just make sure its out of the way of the wipers :)
