General Call

Looking for a buddy for some green laning in the wantage area. Gentle stuff with and without kids.

Good sense of humour, smoker, loads of emotional baggage and a pretty young sister preferred. (er, sorry, not too joung, I have one or two morals left):D

im not far from you bud. swindon.

dont smoke any more but i do have a baby on the way in a couple of weeks so plenty of baggage to make up for it

oh and i always drive with my little sister, only 15 tho, sorry

do i qualify?? haha

Dude, Close enough and congratulations, your life is about to get more joyfull than you could ever imagine.

Email me on xxxx if you would like to try some lanes (work email, I can't quite get to grips with this PM thing). I know one or two easy but short ones near wantage. apparently a bit more near goring/streatly, but probably more your way. Also MuddyMates have a pay and play thing soon just down the road but I keep missing it.

cheers mate, yeah we are really looking forward to it ta.

obviously im a bit stuck now as she doesnt want me miles away at any time, u know, but im looking at a route near here if you would be interested? have to see when im allowed out to play. nice little play ground near me that you could safely see how far u like to push your motor. how old are your kids? that place has a bumpy bit the kids always enjoy.

u got google earth?

No kids, no smoking and no sister. But over the hill in Lambourn where the good lanes begin.

Praps arrange a trundle out in July sometime?

Widget - Sure love to.

Thainy - Understandable. I can just imagine the call now, "Hello darling, oh your having the baby now? Ok, Ill be right there, just have to dig the landy out of a 10 foot ditch first. Try not to push till I get there":D

My girl is 9, going on 25, and my boy is 8. They got a bit bored on my last outing, till I let them steer:)

Yes got Google Earth

haha yeah i let my little sister drive a short way and now she is completely hooked on landrovers. good girl.

the playground by me is on google earth, try find 51deg 29'09.54" N 1deg 45'48.19" W

if you can find that then you should see pics of the wiltshire 4x4 weekend.

they arnt great pics but gives an idea. i'm going to head up there this weekend just for a couple of hours, little play, more than welcome to come along.

What sort of lanes are you looking for really?

Thainy, Google Earth at home is messing me about. Will check at work. Looks like a wooded area near a shooting club?

On lanes. Don't know really. Too new to this to say. I have a standard landy mostly (appart from 265 All terrains) and its my daily drive, so looking for some fun without wrecking my ride.

But, I can see myself going more hardcore as I learn. Already looking for a steering guard. Also want a snorkle. Do'nt really need one cause I don't want to wade so deep I wreck my interior either (it's a 90 County Station Wagon). I just think they look cool, so bollocks.

However, before someone says ffs why did you buy a Landy, I'm only talking about not causing damage I can't afford to repair or that stops me going to work on Monday.:D

thats fair mate i do the same. love my landy, i dont wanna trash it!

re: google earth your probly looking at the right place there. left of it should be barbury castle? some of the photo's there should say wiltshire 4x4 weekend or somethin like that. i have some pics of it if i can work out how to do it.
