    HT Leads & Coil Pack

Definately! And don't get too ****ty when you skin your knuckles trying to get round the back of the block!!! Small hands with long fingers (ooh err Mrs!) are what's needed. Editted to add: - Oh and do one lead at a time. Don't be tempted to pull a few off at once. I couldn't find any...

    p38 mot failure

Ref Brake Pipes - I'm pretty sure that you have to remove the originals and make a new ones to fit using the old ones as a pattern. Preformed not available. Or if they are, we couldn't find any! I managed to avoid it last year but needed to have them replaced this year - corroded like yours...

Hello all, new here and buying a P38 soon

Really have to echo what Polsta said - be patient and look around. I've owned two and rushed in a bit on the first one as it seemed cheap. It wasn't and I'm well out of it! P38 valuations seem to be very much on a 'are you buying or selling?' ethos. It you're buying they're all fortunes, if...

    what 4x4 next

Stufer, Couldn't agree more! I've got an E Class (59 plate) Merc that cost that sort of money and a P38 bought for £1200 and guess what I prefer driving? P38 all the way. Yes, the Merc is faultless, smooth, goes fast and starts everytime, but my truck just has something about it. It is...

    Adrian Flux POOR customer service

I'm afraid the only dealing I had with Adrain Flux was not a good one. I got a quote to renew insurance last year for my P38 2000 4.0 Petrol via a rodent based website. Anyway, AF came out quite good and having been recommended by a good mate and having seen a few on here sing their praises...

    You and your P38

A combination of most of the above! Great old truck that looks the biss. Slow, sluggish and stylish! Well as stylish as I bloody want to be! Nice to look down on the poor folk when driving around. It's quite amazing what a £1200 motor can do to you! I get asked what I paid for mine and...

    Locking wheel nut key

What he said!!! Air chisel sorted my four little beauties out when I had a puncture. Replaced with standard nuts. Happy days.

    Key Fob Battery Change Question

I've never had to resync mine when just changing the batteries unless the batteries were particularly flat (I left one fob for 6 months as it kept 'eating' batteries). The one time I did have to resync, I had to open the door with key in lock as the remote wasn't woring, but then I just...

    In the Red

That shouldn't be too bad Gary. I've owned two rangie and had thermostats go on both. Sounds pretty common. Water pump changed on my latest one as well as there was play in it and I was warned that sooner or later it would end up going through the rad and cost big bucks. Couldn't quite...

    Key fob

I had an issue witrh one of my two keys either not working or working for a day or so with new batteries and then the next day, it was dead. On the faulty key, I noticed that the small rubber O ring on the battery holder was missing and found if I took the battery cover, batteries and o ring...

    P38 Key Fob Not Working

I mentioned a while ago that one of my key fobs for my P38 was eating new batteries in a day or so, well as an update, I changed the batteries again over the weekend and nothing - won't work at all. Is there anyone on here who mends fobs? I would imagine that it's nothing major (for someone...

Just done all 4 shocks and rear airbags...

Well said Jerry! I am keen to learn and always try and get involved when my mechanic is doing work on mine. I'm probably a pain in the ar5e to him, but hey, I pay him and buy him beer so we're all good!

does anyone know what size the water pump bolts are? I sheared one

You can normally do the ht's with an LPG kit in but be prepared for skinless knuckles, fingers, etc. It's fiddly and tight (oh-er!) but I've (well me and my mate) done two sets. Do one lead at a time so you know what came from where. Not teaching anyone to suck eggs, but it's an easy mistake...

    What's it worth....

P38's seem to be notorious for 'Are you buying or are you selling' when trying to work out a price. If you're buying they're highly priced and if you're selling - well no one wants one! As the other guys have said, ebay is a place to look for cheap Rangies (and possibly Nasty ones as well)...
