Swap the coolant sensor with the FT(fuel temp) sensor(in the FPR) to see if it improves things or not, or even better replace the FT sensor with a new one cos it's not expensive... unless you can read live data to see if the FT input is OK... a...

But did you try with a new switch before grinding things ?, if not that should be your first move cos those switches can become ultra sensitive in time as they have an internal spring which can be ''tired''

MHK100820L for Eu3 this one has decent price compared to the other, genuine LR is the best for any sensor but if you find it too expensive at least buy a premium branded one cos there are many versions of it as it's used by Rover and BMW too

  7. sierrafery replied to the thread D2 apparent turbo lag?.

Yes it can cos the AAP fault sends the ECM to ''limited boost" default, replace the AAP sensor

  8. sierrafery replied to the thread D2 apparent turbo lag?.

Watch the ambient pressure(AAP) reading , it should be very close to MAP at idle and drop up to 4 units under heavy throttle, that sensor delivers the AAT too for Eu3 management but that reading is not displayed by diagnostics even though it's...

  9. sierrafery replied to the thread D2 apparent turbo lag?.

You should take a look into the EGR to see how gunked up it is eventually get rid of it, on facelifts a quite common problem is that the catalyst is clogged and restricts the gas flow so the turbo can't spin up well... go somewhere where the...

I insisted with the loom cos the man didnt mention it beside the contact cleaner... the MAF has nothing to do with flashing M+S, the oil in the red plug can mix up the CAN signals if it gets untill those pins

Could be many things and the only direct way to the issue is to read the fault code stored in the transmission ECU

They were originally fitted with plastic trim rivets, nr 8 http://new.lrcat.com/#!/1232/36532/36716/2782/36724 when the receiver was earthed through the connector but you can improvise with rivnuts and bolts or what ever you want just connect...

  15. sierrafery replied to the thread Disco 2 Shuttle valve mod clarification..

The only 100% correct way to do that is to cut the wires and prolonge them then one side to earth and other to the YG wire which must be cut too and connect to the side which goes toward the ECU... there are cases when it's a short to earth...
