sounds like various locks have been replaced with the passenger door and igniition being origionals. id look on fleabay for a set of lock barrels and replace the door locks so they are all the same, personally i wouldnt bother changing the ignition lock.. but i havnt looked to see how easy...

if youve got to spend money on the house and need a family friendly car you might be better looking at 300tdi discoveries ...5 door 7 seat and a bit more padding and sound proofing ..mechanically pretty much the same as a 110 but .. half the price of a 110csw...just look for rust in the floor...

yer got to remember that the series was designed in the late forties as a cross between a proper tractor and a light truck....theres no way its going to "drive" like a modern repmobile or hot hatch or even a seventies sports car. as long as it starts , gets where you want to go and back again...

get the disco and keep the tranny. then when the tranny is broke you can use the disco for work. imho for your work a 5 door disco is a better work vehicle than a 3 door 110 hard top cos the extra doors give easier access to the junk in the back. and the rear door itself is wider.

imho tis one of them jobs best left to someone whose had a bit of practice. btw the rear door glass is different the 300 fits in a 200 door but the heated screen element has its connections in a different place..... the 300s got the connectors on the two bottom corners and the 200 has them both...
