Keep the rectangular fog lights, looks better on an older defender in my opinion. I got my RDX ones from bolt on bits on ebay. They definitely do the clear lenses (I am also not a fan of them, keep it original looking) so there may well be...

The dowel issue is when you remove the cylinder head (he only removed the rocker cover) and Is also a subject of debate as to if to change so be cautious. You need to search for a Land Rover manual online loads of free 1s out there for download...

I've reluctantly started to give Leylandi series 3, some protection today. Last weekend I used a wire brush on a drill and white spirit to remove old waxoyl then jetwashed. I used Jenolite rust converter and 2 coats of Buzzweld chassis in one...

The first thing I did was take the little steering wheel off and put a proper one on, I then fitted the steering wheel lock and pedal lock. The next thing I did was take it for a drive I then ordered a fuel pressure regulator repair kit as it was...

Check voltage at horn end. If that does not work check the fuses. Check both sides of the fuse as to check all good And what landrover do you have? What makes you think it’s the switch?

No relay on the horn. Check connections on the horn as the vibrate & break off. Check voltage at horn & work to the switch

From what I remember, the tools for security bolts are easily available and therefore in my opinion no better than the originals. The original hinges on mine are Torx type, I filled them with epoxy resin putty, If I ever need to take them off it...

Secure that bonnet as well.. Etch widows, headlights & any panel that will be easily removed. May sound overkill but if they see them marked will hinder selling parts Enjoy the motor, don’t forget to wave to other landrovers

Tube out rigger might have a few years left. Chassis, if that is the worst then with time, effort, money you could probably slow the process. Fuel tank cradle is bolt on so not so important. Realistically all of our chassis are rusting away...

You could get in touch with the military vehicle trust. They're officially recognised by the DVLA as vehicle inspectors and can get you the registration. Costs about £200 for non members.

😂 the lengths we go to. I managed to get a stubby on my defender one. My disco one wouldn’t allow it though!! I just slit it and wack round with a chisel - was much easier! Powerflex are good - bought them for my project and will be installing...

I’ve been green laning since I got my first Landy in the early 90’s. I started with some friends who were members of a local off road club which was mostly into trials. We went in groups of two or three and didn’t tear up the lanes or drive off...

Struts depot on the net has a good section. The rear tail gate is the same design if it’s mesh or solid. Remove mesh and jut add flat Ali in its place. All fixings are the same.
