When do you need it, Saint? I know where your front pulley tool is as it is hanging in the garage. I've just had to make another whole garage length of shelves to house MrGorsky's tools he so kindly lent me while he was off globe-trotting. So the...

Fully agree, lent bro in law, rock breaker and rotary hammer drill/chisel forgot about em, when I eventually remembered who I’d lent em to when I needed em for a project I had to go and fetch em back mi sen, really jacked off to find he’d burnt...

That's not what the DPA says or GDPR. The police are not the injured party so maybe they need a warrant to act on their behalf. A crime number will certainly help. Most of this DPA stuff is untested in court and the ICO are a joke so if you push...

Oddly enough a DTI plus adapter was what went, that along with the locking tools for an M51 engine.

    Other Tools

This shouldn't even need to be said but apparently it does. As we all know, there are a number of specialist tools required on these beasts in order to keep them on the road. The cost of these is prohibitive to most of us so with a little...

  8. Grrrrrr liked Datatek's post in the thread P38A Strange metallic noise underneath.

It's a bit off the mark, but my car had a strange metallic tinging noise from under the car, It was one of the underbody heat shields, the retainers had rusted away and one end was resting on the exhaust.

  9. Grrrrrr replied to the thread P38A Center diff lock issue.

I do think a limited slip diff combined with the 4W TC could make quite a big difference. Again, I think Ashcroft might do one but no idea what the price would be. Together with Airlockers I think it'd be a very capable vehicle for most people's...

  10. Grrrrrr liked 300bhp/ton's post in the thread P38A Center diff lock issue.

Most D2’s didn’t have a the diff lock. Some earl ones have the mechanism and are just missing the upper linkage. Then for a period the mechanism was removed. Then a full centre diff lock offer as an option. D2 uses different chassis, axle...

You do need to drive differently to make the TCS work. But tbh no differently than you would with a Td5 Defender with TCS. It’s quite funny watching people with Td5’s. A lot of the time they just get to the point when the TCS kicks in, then they...

Theoretically, maybe but not what I've found in practice. When the TC kicks in you lose momentum as well which doesn't help on the slippy stuff. You have to be way more aggressive with the throttle compared to the Defender.

Maybe maf sensor. Sounds like hunting so may also be an induction leak. Get some brake/carb cleaner and spray all inlet manifold gasket areas and pipe connections, if revs rise you may well have found your problem. Don't spray near exhaust....

Should be fine. It shouldn't be rubbing anywhere either. Not sure why yours was. @private_user : yes, Wammers built GTONE.
