Td4 engine cuts out
Hi
Can anybody help with this problem?
I have a TD4 auto 02 plate 67,000
The other day the engine cut out whilst driving, restarted then did it again.led display said f4/4f flashing hdc and tc plus tow-bar symbol comes on, leave it for 10 min then symbols disappear and car restarts drives perfectly well then cuts out 1/2 mile later.
Rac thinks new fuel pump as was grinding and intermittent power supply, had new pump fitted in rear wheel arch. test drove still got the same problem.
The local garage and RAC could not get definitive info from the stored diagnostic
Checked out similar problems on this board they vary from dry joints, injectors and boost control to gearbox problems.
I am thinking Auto electrian might be the next step.
