Hi all...anybody had battery discharge problems?. I have a 1997 4.6 P38 and the battery looses charge overnight..down to 10v. I have replaced the old battery but it is still happening. I have checked for any interior lights staying on etc etc. but to no avail. However I checked the alternator...

Hi all...anybody had a "blow back" off their gas system on a P38 4.6 R.Rover. I had it today, large bang obvious loss of power, on inspection found air box split, metal gauze in M.A.F. in bits but still in sensor. Gas is a single point system. Ran home on petrol engine seems to be "missing"...

thanks ,,have read about tyre pressures being important on p38's. Dont think its the air bags as these are new..probably expecting too much.. my other car is a mitsubishi GTO so not much difference!!!!

:welcome2:Well i slightly knew about P38 problems but 30 miles into first drive- steam from expansion tank...refilled , bought a new pressure cap all ok so far, looks like seal on old cap had perished HOPEFULLY NOT LINERS! Car has had head gaskets done. Usual book icon with ! appearing on air...
