Spoke with mechanic, he says the fault was shutle valve failure and may be cured by a drain and flush of the system.

After first visit to garage, prompted by the ABS & Traction control light staying on after moving off the fault was purely reset on the diagnostic computor or what ever they use and it stayed off for a week and returned.Thinking it was only a sensor I took it back and it was checked again this...

Cheers Shifty will give it a try, all seems to be working fine just this bloody light. Has been off in the past after reset at garage for up to a week. The mechanic suggested a flush and drain of the system may solve it prior to replacement of the unit. thanks for your help.

He reckons the light has to be out for the MOT and not just the bulb.

my abs light / traction control are lit up my dealer tells me I need to change the abs unit at a cost of £1400 any thoughts!:mad:
