I've got the same problem on mine but it sometimes juggers once started going to try a different battery Tmoro see if the problem goes.

Also sometimes it juggers abit once started and traction failure. Light comes on. Do u think I should get a new battery

Yes thankyou it was the selector pin. Got one of ebay for 20 quid so glad it weren't. A expensive job

I found the problem it was the gear selector pin. Went on ebay 20 quid and now it works fine. I rang a range rover specialist they told me the pins are not listed separately so would have to buy the whole box. 600 quid they quoted me.
