I took mine off in 2007. Why should I **** anyone off? If I had an issue with them I wouldn't go back. It's that simple.

Masks do nothing, they just show everyone you are compliant. In fact they are dangerous to lungs. But that's another story. I'm OK with it being removed on my 300 tdi too. My point is laws are to be tested.

If we were all scared of governments and complied with all their bs (like masks etc) we would be living in a prison. Mind you we're nearly there now! Tbh they can do what ever they like - I am not complying.

So who's going to prosecute me? No one's even interested. All mechanics are aware that EGRs are fitted to some Defenders and other vehicles. Checking its existence is not a part of the MOT anyway, just an emisions test. If it passes then it is legal. I'm not going to mess up my engine...

They did have EGRs but removing that was the first thing I did. Awful things.

What sticker is that? I don't think I have one. Won't they use set parameters rather than check the stickers? I don't know, just guessing. At least I don't have one but that's an interesting point. Cheers

Thanks. I am aware that it's unburnt fuel and on diesels it's not uncommon. I have fiddled with the settings but haven't gone overboard like altering the main fuel screw setting. As I said, I wanted some feedback if anyone ever had any MOT issues after that modification to the pump. Thanks again.
