On my 2002 onwards they are M10 x 1.0 except 2 larger ones on the ABS which are M12. Search my thread as there are double and single flares which require SAE and DIN flare tools and you MUST use the correct nut. A double flare requires a countersunk nut or it will leak or break. I'll look for...

As you have fitted they are not so far off vertical when the arm is down at an angle !! They are trailing arms after all. Of course, depends which way up you fitted them but as photo I wouldn't worry.

The solid rubber section needs to be vertical ! I'm sure it isn't that critical. The 2 part Poly bushes make this a doddle.
