Cleaned off the connector on the starter and it seems to have done the trick! Thankyou all very much :):):)

Bump started in 5 yards, guess that rules out the immobiliser?:confused:

Jump starting doesn't make any difference. Regarding the starter solenoid I would have expected the headlights to dim, but they don't at all. I haven't tried bump starting but will in a min, it'll be a tow from the old mans Focus (bless).:doh:
