Disco 2 Can someone tell me what this is for?

Sorry - it is a 2003 so a 15p. I’ve blocked that pipe off now. Thank you for your help and Happy New Year!

Disco 2 Can someone tell me what this is for?

There are actually two pipes. The blue one has been blocked off so I assume I should block off this one as well?

Disco 2 Can someone tell me what this is for?

It is on the driver’s side and the EGR has been deleted, several years ago. Assume it has been plugged as haven’t had any issues! Many thanks!

Fault code 0753 Solenoid 1 valve?

    It certainly was!

Fault code 0753 Solenoid 1 valve?

It was indeed one pesky wire that was causing the problem. All sorted now - many thanks to all for advice!

Fault code 0753 Solenoid 1 valve?

Thank you. Did actually find some oil in the grey connector and in the red plug, so thoroughly sprayed contact cleaner on both plus the black plug and of course the ECU itself

Fault code 0753 Solenoid 1 valve?

Still waiting to inspect the loom for the solenoid issue but was having trouble starting and realised battery was dying so had to replace. It’s now starting perfectly with new battery, but chucking the P1843 code (can timeout monitoring) constantly - as soon as I clear it with Nanocom it comes...

Disco 2 Anyone brought a new battery recently?

hi Sierrafery - I need a new battery - would you still recommend the BulletBatt over the Enduroline? That is actually what I am replacing - only a year old but the car sat at a salvage yard for 6 months with the rear door open.. Many thanks

Fault code 0753 Solenoid 1 valve?

So I got as far as the inspection plate, which judging by the rivets has been out before. But the plate had been riveted back with the plate under the inspection hole, rather than over. If I had tried to drill it out the plate would have been in the way of the loom etc?! Is that right? Surely it...

Fault code 0753 Solenoid 1 valve?

Pretty sure this is a wiring issue around the P clip. Going to try to access the loom by removing the centre console today etc. Happy with the process of removing the console and drilling out the rivets to remove the inspection cover etc, but do i need to disconnect the gear lever cable for...

Thank you Sierrafery - we will drop the valve block and also check the loom.

Fault code 0753 Solenoid 1 valve?

M&S lights have come on - showing 0753 fault. Changed the XYZ switch a few weeks ago but has been fine. Can clear the fault but comes back after a minute or so of driving. Any ideas?

    M and S issue

Just adjusted it further as P wasn’t showing on the dash or via red light next to selector. Once that was done, started perfectly! Thank you for your guidance.

    M and S issue

Hi all - I changed the XYZ switch today - got one refurbished from Discovery 2 spares - and now the car won’t even turn over. No faults showing via Nanocom. Any ideas?

    M and S issue

correction - it is in limp mode - needs a bloody good boot to get it moving!

    M and S issue

Thank you both - appreciable the guidance. Will try that before replacing switch and will stop fretting about the clunk!!

    M and S issue

Think both are black. M&S lights on pretty constantly now and reappear after every reset. Ordered a refurbished XZY switch. Seems to be clunking more than usual going into reverse - could that be linked to switch issue?
