Mine got me back from the Ardennes to Calais in 3 and a half ours, not bad for a 260 mile journey. Fuel consumption was 8.1 litres per 100km. It certainly seems to have more oommph from having the EGR done and the DPF cleaned.

Sounds a bit like a problem I used to have on Leyland Hydracyclic gearboxes on buses. The valves would get blocked with cack and stick. Luckily they are extenally fitted and easy to remove and clean out. Regular oil filter changes helped. but I don't know if your box has a filter.
