Hi, That video the worst defender engine sounds like they are pushing B M W engines. If you remap an engine & it is getting too much fuel yes it will wreck the engine I know from experience , I have had 3 wagon engines blow up through remaps against my advice. Defenders are no different

Yes nylock nuts should be changed but you can get away with using them again once with no problem. It is just a money making exercise.
