Cam belt done last year. Nothing in fans. No idea what I should be looking at or checking, which is why I reached out on here! All sorted now tho :)

So I now have a shiny new aircon compressor. This was identified by the garage as the culprit having left it with them for a cold start. Having driven 10 miles to the garage the other day it had gone quiet!! Thanks all for your responses. Despite my vagueness, I hope this thread helps someone...

It was a couple of weeks back when the nose first started. Got very screechy but stopped when air con was turned off.
