    Wonky Front Bumper

I'll be taking my front bumper off soon to fit my A bar, and when I put it back, I want it to be straight!! I tried sorting this once before by removing it and wedging something in one end before refitting the bolts. A shortcut, but it worked a bit. Any tips on how to do it properly?

Another fuel leak - t'other end.

So the fuel tank has been replaced and all seemed well. Well, all was well, it was great. But now we have a fuel leak from the front, it's literally pouring out when the engine is running. I assume a split hose? Before I get covered in fuel trying to work out what's gone wrong, are there any...

I don't know jack (about jacks)

I was well pleased when I managed to get an oldish but unused original high lift jack for £25 delivered, but how on earth does this thing work?? Dealing with the front looks pretty straightforward, but it looks like I either have the wrong jack or need an extension or adapter to lift the rear...

    Fishtailing

I've just spent a small fortune on my newly acquired Hi Cap, and just drove it back to Surrey, from Dorset where it was worked on. Among the issues that were addressed was the terrible steering - it had enormous play in it. It's much better now (still not brilliant), but boy does it fishtail at...

    Good or Bad opportunity??

I like things original. I don't have the time or money for concours, but if I did, I'd be all over it like a tramp on chips. Anyway, so an opportunity has come up to buy a very clean and tidy 1989 110 2 door. It's flat paint is in desperate need of a polish, but it's very clean and very...

    1500 miles/year. 200 TDI or 3.5 V8?

If covering only 1000-2000 miles per year, would you consider a 3.5 V8 over say a 2.5TD/300TDI? Got something up my sleeve!! ;)

    Defender help/mech needed in Sussex/Kent

Hi guys Before I spend any more time and money on my new (to me!) 110 truck, I need to establish if its a keeper. I'm looking for someone to take a look at it for me, and let me know what needs doing to it. Emphasis on the "need"!! You know what I mean; its an old Land Rover, not a Rolls Royce...

Wheels/rear arches on a high cap

So as you all know, the high cap pickup doesnt usually come with rear arch extensions/spats. Well my one certainly hasnt got them, and I don't like it!! I've seen a much later defender in passing and that has them? Anyway, I know I can retrofit them, that's not my concern, but the question I...

    Hi there

Just thought I should say hi chaps (and chapettes?) as I've just bought myself a land rover and know very little about them. All I know is that at £180/yr to insure the thing, its gonna be a bloody useful to have one on the drive. :) A bit about the truck, its a 1994 hi cap pickup in white. It...
