sometimes my freelander td4 is hard to start, it sound like fuel starvation, engine turns over alright and tries to start wont but eventually it will and work normally for a few day and symptyoms return anybody got any ideas. TIA mark

freelander td4 engine smoking through the exhaust,black smoke,can smell burning oil,plus keep topping oil up. although this clears the smoking keeps coming and going as does the smell. any help is very much appriciated TIA mark
