    Series 3 starts, won't idle

    Rebuilt my s3 2.25 diesel at the weekend, engine starts and runs with foot down on throttle, but cuts out when lifted off, think the timing is the problem but I don't know what I'm doing to set it, is it a big job? What tools will I need? Can it be fixed without going to a garage? Any help...
