Hey, I'm looking at getting a 2.0 TD4 freelander. What are there capabilities off road?

I'm looking into buying a Land Rover and was wondering if the Freelander is any any good, especially off road? My budget is £4000 so can't afford a shiny new Land Rover. Thanks in advance for any replies.

I don't have a land rover at the moment but I'm looking for one. Hopefully it won't be long, got to shift my current car first though.
