Was recently reading that a 10p engine block is actually the same as a 15p engine block, is this case?

My d2 Td5 is blowing alot of white smoke from the exhaust and drinking coolant suspect it's one of the above and sure way of finding out which it is without stripping it down?

Just had to replace my starter motor and as the title suggest when it was removed water gushed out, correct me if I am wrong but I thought the starter motor would be sealed from the outside elements, have I missed something?
