Thinking about putting a hinge on the front and making my 109 safari into a pop top. Like a dormobile but so it lifts from the front rather than the side. Just wandering if it's doable with some gas struts a hinge and some canvas. Cheers Will

Finished changing my gear box but now the clutch slips. Does this mean it needs bleeding or that i've buggered the clutch springs on the way in? Thank you.

My rear upper shock mount is rusted on the driver side. Anyone got any ideas on replacing this odd little part. can't get it off the shelf. Anyone got a dead chassis that they could cut this part off?!!! Wish i could forge a new part but i'm a bit new to all this. Am currently struggling...

Any one know the size for the 4 bolts on the rear of the rear prop going into the diff changing gear box and just can't get it out without moving this and i'm scared i'm gonna round em off with a 14mm. Front ones had all been replaced and where metric (and loose!) Thank you

I took the plunge... Bought my self a 109 station wagon series III with big tyres on and a Perkins Prima engine... Drove it home 35 miles, took a bit of getting used to! But loved it. Only problem was gears jumped out a good few times (in any gear). Knew it had and issue with the box before...

Looking at getting me a series III. It has perkins diesel fitted and starts and runs well. Has pitted swivel balls. Chassis ok tho one beam of metal toward rear that runs above chassis supporting under body is gone rusted through. Being sold as spares etc as had oil leak from drain hole in bell...

help i have a short circuit that has burnt out my side light/head light switch. i have isolated it to be between the fuse box and rthe steering column but it isn't at either end how to i get in behind the panel down there, have removed screws but it wont budge... help before i snap it!!!
