i have a 200tdi 90 and just wondering if a 300tdi goes stright in? and is there any work needed?

i drowned my 200tdi yes my fault for not sealin my snorkel properly, and she still started but would smoke and misefire, turbo has a really big headache to. witch i have replaced and still same just wondered if u guys had any idea oh push rodes are all ok as well,
