As some of you may be aware, ive worked in motorsport for many years - and I run my freelander on chip oil!! Driving down M65, 100mph @ 1.5 bar boost, mucho smoko, pulled over, switch off and........nothing happens, engine on full bore..engage clutch and force stall. Sump oil level critically...

Gone to a 2 tank system, cost about £80 all in, will recoup this in just one week of motoring - running perfect !

2000 miles now done on vegge mix - ive just fitted a heat exchanger and am now going to go down the route of 2 tanks as it dont like the cold! Refinary is under way - second hand chip fat is horrid!!!

Just fitted one of 'Rons' £55 'chip boxes'.....oh my god!!!!! Totally unbelievible, it completely transforms the car and took 10 minutes to fit!! If any of you have an L series then this is a total must! And you can turn it up and down as and when you want the extra power! Im a tad wurried about...

Im stumped! Wifes standard freelander still pulls like a train through the gears, mines had a race exhaust custom built (by me!) cone filter inlet, boost @ 1.4 Bar and its still not a patch on hers? Me thinks her black box might have been tampered with!! Still, damned annoying all the same!

Surely there must be another way of replacing no.1 plug without removing the fuel pump - daftest thing I ever read (Mr Haynes et al !!).:mad:

:mad: Just bought a second early freelander (dont ask!!) - ABS works perfect but no response from hill decent - no red light, no green light, no functionio ! Any known causes? I suspect sensors are al good as abs is ok ?

Just bought another freelander - vc is solid - dare I drive it for a while or is certain IRD failure iminent??
