a little stuck on this and just looking for any sound advice the rubber gater on the front cv joint ,just infront of thr ird on the prop has failed,but what i can't understand is that i have lost some oil,about a 1/4 of a pint,is this normal lube oil in the cv or is there somthin more sinister...

ok where do i start Bought an A Bar off ebay,unfortunatly no fixing brackets included,local land rover dealer not very interested and can't help (probably cause i didn't get the bar from them) have any of you fitted one of these using your own collection of bolts etc,if so or any ideas regards...

ok fitted new rear shoes in today,will these take time to bed in,the drum gets warm but not hot,also i hve lost a lot of tension on the handbrake,is this normal after this kind of job? cheers, mark

refering to my post below,nothing is wrong with the function of the viscous coupling on my freelander,however it does have a loose (worn) vibration dmper,just looked at ashcrofts transmissions £75.00,anyone know if i could get a coppy part a bit cheaper also how bad of a job is it could i do it...

seem to get this on the freelander a lot,creeking all sorts of stange noises,so i get underneth and give eveything a good spray with wd40,creeking stops but i have to do it every 6 months,anyone else come across this ? just wonderd if they made a thicker type oil spray ? that would do a better job

Hi,i'm thinking of puting a set of MT tyres 80/20 on my freelander ,would these wear down fast on road surface if so would i be better on a set of AT 50/50. one other thing my tyre size, 215/65 R16 is their any way i could fit a tyre with a higher wall,if this is possible what size tyres should...

any help would be most gratefull 1999 freelander,somtimes feels like a brake is binding,can be free wheeling down hill and speed reduces,also front drums get very hot & lots of brake dust on alloys,is it likely to be the above or somthing moore sinister like rear diff,ird or transfer box.
