    battery light on & power steering failure

    Battery light came on at exactly the same time the power steering failed. Could this be because of the alternator belt? Does it drive both the alternator and the power pump. Otherwise any other ideas would be gratefully recieved.

    Battery Light, Power Pump

    Hi I am new to this site so would like to introduce myself and also I have a problem. Last night Battery Light came on and Power steering would not work, on my TD4 Freelander. Any Ideas please? Does the belt running the alternator run the power pump as well? Could it be the belt?
