my mate has a 110 and he has riveted steel plates over holes in his rear xmember? is this safe to do so? would it pass its mot? cheers

hello, i was planning on swapping my axles but still havent got round to it, but just out of curiousity would it be easy to change the diff and the half shafts instead? and to take the diff off is it just a matter of draining oil then unscrewing theese bolts? cheers.

could i just swap over my 2.5 td axles for 300 tdi defender ones? the difference being the splines? also the 300tdi ones have rear discs and mine have drums, how easy is it to change this over if swapping full rear axle? is it just a matter of changing break pips on calipers? cheers for any replys!!

ive got a clunking i think its my front prop but not sure, could i remove it and have quick test drive to see if it is that? cheers

ive got a clunk noise, so ive checked props like wot previous posts said, theres nowt wrong with a frame ball joint, and shafts seem fine, but when i turn the front shaft theres abit of play in it is this normal? and ive just realised there is no transmissions fluid in it! so could that cause...

when driving its hard to get into second gear, and sometimes when changing gears it clunks, when stationary you can select all gears, but you can hear a clicking noise, any ideas what problem might be? i havent checked gearbox oil as cant find the plug?? oh and its 2.5td 90 cheers
