Seems to be great debate about changing the ATF and filter on the auto box, or leave well alone. am all into reventative maintainance so am considering changing but not sure if should open pandora's box.

has anybody replaced the contacts and plunger using the kit from repair kits uk? guy rekons can be done without removing the starter from the engine.

is there a handy way of checking the compressor for the air springs on a discovery 2? changed air psrings last year so they ok, checked 30amp fuse and relay also ok, not lifting on the high lift and feels soft when driving.don't want to jack up cause then if sensors deflate air springs and can't...

Just checked and the bushes in my watts linkage definitley done. How big a deal is it to change them ? Any tips before I start a whole handling in my drive ? Also prices seem high, £45 for the centre bearing and £42 each for the top and bottom bushes, does this eem right or is there an alternative ?

Haynes manual suggests checking and adjusting the backlash in the steering box every 46,000 miles. This seems a reasonable amount of hassle, is it really necessary or does anybody actually bother?

2000 Discovery TD5 auto surging when you floor it from low revs. Have replaced fuel filter and used injector cleaners but no better. Drive steady it's fine up till 2500RPM then flat with no torque beyond. Any ideas welcome.

have to change the anti roll bar bushes on my disco 2 with ACE. Had a go last weekend but given wrong bushes by dealer and a wipe out. any tips as seems really tight to get bracket back on?
